About Dual Studies

The Dual Studies track is a comprehensive cooperative educational concept. Students work and study at the same time. It is a reaction to two challenges: to raise the employability rate of university graduates and to provide the labor market with qualified employees.

The program consists of two parts: academic and practical training, the program is implemented at two locations: the university and a partner company.

For the university, the content of the academic part is the same as for regular students concerning the level and quality of the taught courses. Also, the number of academic courses is roughly the same.

In addition, for the partner company. What they do is aligned with their academic studies - students apply their knowledge and become familiar with the real-life work environment during the program.

Currently, the School of Applied Technical Sciences (SATS) the program is implemented in three-bachelor degree; the Industrial Engineering (IE),the Mechanical and Maintenance Engineering (MECH) and Mechatronics Engineering (ME). The Dual Studies track launched in the IE department in 2019-2020, in the MECH department in 2021-2022, and in ME department 2022-2023.
