Podcast - Deputy Head of the International Affairs Department - Iris Wildfeuer

Iris Wildfeuer, Deputy Head of the International Affairs Department at the GJU, shares her many years of experience as a Westerner in the Arab world and sheds light on what education across borders means in everyday work. Every now and then, Iris Wildfeuer ends her working day with tea and hookah. This is how Mady met her in a café, where her interview partner tells us what matters to her if education is to function across national borders. She is in fact one of the central contact persons when it comes to the concrete implementation of transnational education and the day-to-day cooperation with the German partners - especially with the project office at the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. In addition to a short introduction to the proper hookah smoking technique, the two also exchange ideas about what it's like to be a woman in Jordan. Iris also shares some impressions of Arab culture that she has gained through her contact with locals.
