GJU Program Innovation & Entrepreneurship (PIE) congratulates GJU students Ma'en Zaid Al-Muhaisen (Industrial Engineering) and Omar Tuffaha (Computer Science) for winning the second place in the Startup Weekend Jordan competition for their project Crowd Farming.

Maen and Omar have integrated the crowdsourcing concept in the field of agriculture, which focuses on innovative agriculture solutions.

The product focuses on the problem of unused cultivable lands through a system consisting of a platform, which merges between the concepts of crowdsourcing and farming, in addition to an IOT device that measures the lands temperature, humidity and minerals and provide them to the farmers on a daily base.

It is worth mentioning that the idea was developed during the SAP Design Thinking Training workshop that was implemented at GJU in the frame of the Flying Faculty program and organized by GJU’s Program Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Congratulations and wishing you more success to come!!
