The President of the German Jordanian University, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, and the CEO of the Business Development Center, H.E Nayef Steitieh, discussed ways of enhancing the cooperation between the two sides in the field of innovation, creativity and business development.

During his meeting with the center's delegation, Prof. Al-Halhouli pointed out that GJU’s interest in innovation and entrepreneurship is strategic, so it organized a series of programs to spread this culture among its students and employees as a journey and a process, has its requirements to achieve the desired goals.

He added that the university provides education and training for students to graduate young people who are able to establish startups and businesses, and partners with its graduates and connects them with the German industrial sector from its partners to attract them and open branches at the university and Jordan in general.

For his part, Steitieh praised the university's experience in preparing its graduates for the German and Jordanian labor market and providing them with the skills that facilitate them to find distinguished job opportunities during their study period and after graduation.

He pointed out that the center contributes to economic development through designing and implementing the development programs aimed at creating job opportunities for Jordanians, spreading the spirit of entrepreneurship and increasing the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises. The center also manages many eco-development projects for a number of government agencies and donors.

 

During the meeting, which was attended by the Director-General of the Center, Ghaleb Hijazy, and the Dean of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH), Dr. Nidal Al-Shawawra, discussed aspects of proposed cooperation between the two parties to participate in joint projects and link university graduates with the Center's partners.
