The School of Architecture and Built Environment SABE at German Jordanian University has recently collaborated with the Aarhus School of Architecture –Denmark in organizing, hosting and executing a workshop under the title of “Immigrant’s Integration In Urban Settings”.
The workshop was supervised by faculty members from both sides, opened by a welcoming note by Prof. Ziyad Haddad and Prof. Mohammad Yaghan, in addition to several presentations given by of Arch.Hind Ishaqat about housing planning strategies and design and Arch. Hala Ghanim who spoke about exploring the urban forms of Syrian Non camp refugees in Amman.
The workshop also included a visit to Al Zaatari Camp and multiple housing projects in Marka, Amman. Participants were in their third year of study.
The results were presented to a jury in the form of presentations that contained analysis, and results to help with a better understanding of the surrounding community.
