A delegation from the Visual Rehabilitation Center at the German Jordanian University visited the Royal Academy for the Blind to familiarize the specialists participating in the specialized training course on low vision with the Academy's departments and to learn about the services provided to students with visual disabilities, whether blind or visually impaired.

The Director of the Academy, Dr. Najah, briefed the delegation on the Academy's services, different teaching methods used for visually impaired and low vision students, as well as the Braille system and how it is written and read by students and teachers.

During the visit, the delegation toured various classrooms and departments to learn about the teaching methods used with students, the tools employed in the educational process for different subjects, in addition to the classrooms, book printing departments, curriculum development in Braille, visual rehabilitation and low vision, daily life skills, computer skills, occupational therapy, physical therapy, mobility and movement, and sensory training department, among others.

At the end of the visit, both parties emphasized the importance of joint cooperation and efforts in serving students with visual disabilities, integrating them into society, and ensuring their right to education.
