A GJU delegation visited the University of Magdeburg, the main partner of GJU, Hamm-Lippstadt University and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) between “7-17 September 2015”.
The purpose of the visit is to know more about the German educational institutions, programs and discuss several ways of cooperation, as well as expanding the knowledge of exchange and experiences.
The delegation met with the President of Magdeburg University Dr. Anne Lequy, the member of Board of Trustees of GJU Dr. Andreas Geiger and an official at the Student Affairs, in addition to the Director of the Human Resources Department.
Dr. Lequy briefed about the University of Magdeburg that has long gained a reputation for its well-rounded academic education programs and motivated student body, in addition to the exclusively offered Bachelor and Master Study programs.
She also expressed her pride of the strategic partnership between the two universities, and how it plays a big role in developing the German- Jordanian relationships in the area of educational exchange.
At the end of the visit, the delegation spoke about their work, the main tasks of the departments at GJU, and extended their gratitude to the tow universities for giving them this opportunity to learn new skills and expand their experiences.
Furthermore, the delegation members visited Hamm-Lippstadt University, where they met with President of the University, the Director of the Finance Department and the Director of the Public Relations Department.
The delegation concluded the visit to Germany at the headquarters of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Bonn, where Dr. Stephan Geifes, a member of the Board of Trustees of GJU, briefed about the DAAD, its objectives, scholarships and the cultural exchanges programs.
It is worthy to mention that the delegation members were, Dr. Laila Yaghi Assistant to the President for Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Ms. Sana’ Farraj , Director of the Finance Department, Mr. Muneer Baniyounis, Director of Public Relations and Marketing Department and Mr. Mahmoud Irbeihat Director of the Human Resources Department.
