Under the patronage of HRH Princess Basma Bint Ali, two graduation projects were discussed in the School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), for students, Ahmad Al-Hayali and Sereen Marei, on the development of the Royal Botanic Garden site.

During the discussion, Princess Basma pointed out the importance of involving young people in national efforts to develop the institutions and improve the services by linking their projects to what could be applied on the ground, praising the school's students and their efforts in this field.

On behalf of the President of GJU, Prof. Manar Fayyad, the Vice President of GJU, Prof. Ziad Haddad, attended the discussion and stressed that the students’ projects are an actual translation of the university’s mission in serving the community and employing the youth’s energies practically in serving the country.

Furthermore, The Dean of SABE, Dr. Maram Al-Taweel, expressed her appreciation to the academic and administrative staff for their efforts towards the development and growth of the community.

The graduation projects were supervised by industrial professor Arch. Reagan Ashour. They included proposals for an educational center for botanical research and a recreational center in the garden at the King Talal Dam site- supervised by HRH Princess Basma Bint Ali.

In the end, Her Highness provided some observations on the designs focusing on the basic needs for an effective service to different segments of society. The discussion was attended by the Director-General of the Park, Eng. Muhammad Shahbaz and the jury.
