The German Jordanian University (GJU) has welcomed Dr. Abdelrahman Zuraik, the international expert in innovation leadership, as the Advisor to the President for Innovation and Entrepreneurship to contribute to directing efforts toward building GJU’s innovation system and strengthening the team of the Deanship of Innovation, technology transfer, and Entrepreneurship (DIE-TECH).
Dr. Zuraik and the team in charge of the leadership and innovation will begin by launching a strategic program under the title (of German Jordanian University Innovates - 2025).
The program aims to build innovative skills for all university employees, including administrators, academics, and researchers, which will contribute to promoting innovative and pioneering projects in applied research, to reach with GJU to become the first university in the Middle East to develop innovation systems through the use of the unified digital platform for innovation management.
Furthermore, the program will emphasize the development of the university's innovative capabilities and consider it the central ability for its growth and prosperity, following the best international practices in innovation management, which will enhance the university's position and place it on the global map of advanced universities, equal to the German partner universities.
It is worth noting that Dr. Zuraik holds a Ph.D. in Innovation Leadership from California Management and Leadership University in San Diego, California, a certificate in Strategic Innovation from Harvard University, and the Global Innovation Institute in Boston, Massachusetts- USA. He is also an innovation ambassador for the region of the Middle East, Chairman of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee at the Scientific Research and Innovation Fund of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Jordan, and advisor to the King Abdullah II Center for Excellence in Innovation.
