The President of the German Jordanian University, Professor Alaeldeen Al-Halhouli, and the CEO of Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, Valentina Qassisieh, discussed means of cooperation between the two sides in the fields of scientific research, libraries, and programs related to children.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Halhouli indicated that the University focuses in its strategy on being an innovative, green, sustainable and pioneering University, as it has established the first Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Leadership in the region to support this trend. The University has also trained about one hundred and fifty of its cadres as innovation ambassadors to spread this culture in all departments of the University and the society as a whole

Dr. Al-Halhouli added that the university is looking forward to graduating cohorts of young people who are able to create job opportunities and establish start-up companies that contribute to the national economy, in addition to bringing companies from Germany to open branches within the University and establishing programs and projects that contribute to the service and development of the local community.

For her part, Qassisieh gave a briefing on the institution, its establishment and programs that aim to advance scientific research, foremost of which is the Abdul Hameed Shoman Fund for Arab Researchers, children's libraries spread across most regions of the Kingdom, awards for children, essays and literature, in addition to supporting scientific research and cultural projects.

During the meeting, the two parties reviewed aspects of cooperation in areas and projects of common interest, especially scientific research, the library and the Children's University, which the University implemented for the first-time last year, and proposed programs that serve the community.

At the end of the meeting, Qassisieh and the Director of Scientific Research and Program Development at the Foundation, Eng. Alaa Abu Leil, visited the University library, the Syrian-Jordanian Education Project, the Nanolab, and the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship.
