The School of Natural Resources Engineering and management at German Jordanian University organized a seminar on “Energy Efficiency Potential in Jordanian Buildings “   presented by Dr. Ayoub Abu Deyah, President at Society of Energy Conservation and Sustainable Environment in cooperation with Freidrisch Ebert Stiftung -Amman FES On Tuesday, 28 March, 2107. 

In the frame of the Energy and Climate Program for the MENA Region, Dr. Ayoub elaborated on  the challenges of the regions’ needing to meet a massively increasing domestic energy demand and to respond to the challenges of climate change.

He spoke about the energy efficiency, renewable energy, and the sustainable energy that  provides the key to both economic development and active engagement against climate change, and achieving a sustainable development through developing an effective green building.

He also outlined the energy management and passive design that includes planning and operation of energy production and energy consumption units, in addition to the objectives and resource conservation, climate protection and cost savings, while the users have permanent access to the energy they need.

At the end of the session a wide discussion was held between the students and Dr. Ayoub , where he answered several questions delivered  by the students.
