The Council of Higher Education approves the establishment of the Nursing school at the German Jordanian University which will offer a bachelor program in nursing as of the first semester of the academic year 2023/2024. 

The establishment of the new school aims to find and develop qualified and professional nursing competencies of high quality capable of providing the best health and nursing care services that meet the growing needs in the health care sector at the local, regional and global levels, and in particular it focuses on the needs of the German market. 

The President of the University, Prof. Aladdin Al-Halhouli, stated that the university is working through the school to sign partnerships with the various health sectors and Jordanian hospitals to provide appropriate and practical field training opportunities for students in a rich practical environment. 

Al-Halhouli added that the school will provide students with the opportunity to study at a German university and train in German hospitals and healthcare institutions, which will enable them to acquire the necessary skills and experience to work in the German and European healthcare sectors in the future. In addition, through GJU’s agreements, the program will provide job opportunities for graduates of the program after graduation directly to work in the German market suffers from a severe shortage of nurses. 

The goals of the school to provide high-quality health care, promote the nursing profession, communicate with research centers, develop faculty members, improve institutional performance, and adhere to accreditation and quality standards, will have a significant positive impact on the health sector in Jordan and the region, and open opportunities Distinguished work for its graduates.
