The Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH), organized the twelfth career fair for the aim of providing job opportunities to connect university students and graduates with companies, with the participation of more than sixty local, regional and international companies.
The president of GJU, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, indicated during the opening of the career day in the presence of the representative of the Minister of Labor, the Assistant Secretary-General for Operations Affairs; Mr. Abdallah Aljbour, that the career fair is considered as one of the most important events that the university is keen to hold regularly, because it serves the university’s objective to be innovative, stating that GJU is headed to be a business incubator that abide by regulations, helping the implementation of students’, graduates’ and employees’ projects with the support of the Deanship.
For his part, the Dean of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Nidal Alshwawreh, stated that the Deanship is working to link innovation and employment and train students to be innovative leaders, explaining that the university graduates a generation that possesses the skills needed for the labor market, and moved from the education to learning with the participation of students and graduates and in partnership with the private sector.
Mr. Aljbour expressed the Ministry of Labor's appreciation to GJU and all national institutions that work towards providing job opportunities in cooperation with their partners, which contributes to decreasing the unemployment rate, while the CEO of Serb Express, Mr. Osama AlSharif pointed out the role of GJU in arming its graduates with competencies and skills that make them wanted in the labor market.
