The German Jordanian University (GJU), represented by the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH) and the Jordanian Engineers Association (JEA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at exchanging benefits from the incubation programs implemented by the two parties, investing in start-up companies, and empowering the ecosystem for entrepreneurs of newly graduated engineers.

The MoU was signed on behalf of the university by its President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, and the Association, the representative of the Association President and Head of the Architecture Division Board Chairman, Eng. Imad Al-Dabbas. The MoU specified cooperation in developing a joint work plan to employ engineers in Germany and organizing mutual job fairs and research for job opportunities there.

Both sides discussed the importance of the MoU in strengthening continuous cooperation, where Dr. Al-Halhouli stressed the need to enhance the use of the two sides' experiences in linking new graduates to the industrial sectors during their studies to provide them with the necessary skills for the labor market.

For his part, Eng. Al-Dabbas pointed to the Association's role in supporting entrepreneurial projects, innovative ideas, and startups, besides promoting entrepreneurship culture among young engineers to contribute to decreasing unemployment levels.

The signing ceremony was attended by the General Secretary of the Association, Eng. Ali Nasser, and from the Business Development and International Relations Unit, Eng. Khaled Nassar, and from GJU, the Dean of DI-TECH, Dr. Nidal Al-Shawawreh.
