On Saturday, November 7, 2019, the German Language Center (GLC) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) celebrated the 10th German Teacher’s Day, in cooperation with Goethe-Institute Amman.

More than ninety teachers and prospective teachers in the field of German as a Foreign Language in Jordan from Goethe-Institute Amman, Language Generation Center Amman, PASCH schools in Jordan participated in the event. In addition to lecturers from the School of Applies Humanities and Languages (SAHL), GLC, and Master DaF students at GJU.

The celebration included keynote speakers from Germany, Dr. Astrid Reich from Ruhr University Bochum, talked about New Companion Volume, Dr. Karl Hubert Kiefer from TU Berlin presented Technical language teaching, and Christiane Bolte-Costabiei from Goethe Institute introduced the training program DDL.

The event, which became a traditional annual chance for training, and network meetings, was followed by 10 workshops on different topics related to German language teaching, presentations of publishers, and the latest materials for teaching German as Foreign Languages.
