Following to their participation in the QS Higher Ed Summit: Middle East 2024, a delegation from the German Jordanian University (GJU), led by Vice President Prof. Malek Alsharairi, Dean of Scientific Research Prof. Rami Alazrai, and Director of Accreditation and Quality Assurance Dr. Samer Alabed, furthered collaborative efforts with a visit to RAK Medical and Health Sciences University (RAKMHSU).

 

During the visit, both institutions signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to solidify their commitment to collaboration in medical education, research, and quality assurance. Additionally, Prof. Malek Alsharairi introduced the unique applied education approach of GJU, emphasizing its relevance in addressing the evolving needs of the region. He also highlighted the significance of the newly established School of Nursing at GJU, which offers a curriculum with a German labor market perspective.

The delegation met with Prof. Ismail I. Matalka, President of RAKMHSU, to discuss collaboration opportunities between the two institutions. Prof. Matalka expressed enthusiasm for the partnership and emphasized its potential to advance education and research in the region.

Furthermore, GJU delegation was taken on a comprehensive tour of university facilities and labs related to the School of Nursing at RAKMHSU.

Prof. Alsharairi emphasized the significance of the visit, stating, "Our engagement with RAKMHSU underscores our shared goal of enhancing education and research in the region. By leveraging our respective strengths and expertise, we aim to create impactful initiatives that address the evolving needs of our communities."

The collaborative efforts between GJU and RAKMHSU exemplify the spirit of cooperation and innovation in higher education. Moving forward, both parties remain committed to nurturing a partnership that drives positive change and advances the fields of healthcare and academia.
