Amman- 21 October 2021

After an intensive three-day Management Meeting, the German Jordanian University (GJU) together with its partners from the University of Magdeburg-Stendal and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) drew conclusions to further strengthen its German Dimension.

President of GJU, Prof. Ala'aldeen Al-Halhouli, presented his strategic vision to the Board of Trustees, Presidency, Deans, Directors, and partners. This centered around the four pillars “German Dimension”, “GJU Digital Transformation Strategy”, “Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Technology Transfer” as well as “Visibility and Reputation”.

Upon detailed input by Deans and Directors, measures for the implementation evolved from an interactive and intensive discussion. These will form the basis for the upcoming application for continued support from DAAD’s Transnational Education funding line. Preparations will continue in another meeting in Magdeburg in the upcoming week.

President Prof. Anne Lequy (UAS Magdeburg-Stendal) and DAAD Division Manager Stefan Bienefeld deeply valued the open, inclusive, transparent process and the positive working atmosphere. All participants were highly motivated to develop further the unique profile of the German Jordanian University.
