The German Jordanian University, through the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized the fifth cultural exhibition representing twenty-one Arab and foreign nationalities, in the presence of a number of Arab and foreign ambassadors, cultural attachés, a large number of university students and members of the teaching and administrative staff.

During the inauguration of the exhibition, the President of the University, Prof. Alaeddin Al-Halhouli, expressed his pride in coinciding with the preparations of Jordan Independence Day and the wedding of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah.

Prof. Al-Halhouli stated that the GJU plays a pivotal role in promoting and embracing cultural diversity in its educational and learning ecosystem. GJU is a melting pot that ensures respect, equality, giving and integration. This is a source of strength and a renewable source of knowledge and innovation in the university that promotes the presence of international students and provides comprehensive and diverse programs.

Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Zilal Owais, stated that this event aims to introduce the cultures of Arab and non-Arab peoples, and to enhance the spirit of communication and cultural and civilizational acquaintance between university students of various nationalities through what we see in the celebration of the history, civilization and culture of the people of the participating communities. Students learn extra-curricular skills that encourage creativity, leadership and good communication, as well as boosts energy and positivity to all participants.

The exhibition included photographs and historical pictures of tourist and religious places, popular food, heritage, folklore performances, traditional costumes, handicrafts pottery, figures of cultural landmarks, and types of incense in some Arab countries. The Tourism Promotion Authority also participated in highlighting Jordan's history, heritage and tourist attractions.
