The Dual Studies Program at the German Jordanian University (GJU) continues to thrive, as the number of partner companies has increased from 63 last year to 88 this year. The growth is even more impressive when considering the number of students. While 66 students began their Dual Studies last year, the number has risen to 75 this year. Currently, 14 majors at GJU offer dual tracks in their programs.

The dual Studies Program is a new format of teaching university courses, where part of the regular material is taught in the familiar classroom format, while the remaining parts are worked on by the students through guided projects.

The GJU's President, Prof. Ala'aldeen Al- Halhouli, visited the students during the theory phase of the courses and inquired about the progress of the course, as well as their experiences and expectations during the practical phase. Prof. Ala'aldeen Al- Halhouli emphasized the special significance of the dual study program for the students and the university, stating, "Our students gain practical experience from the first year and can apply theoretical knowledge in practice. This ability to bridge theory and practice puts them ahead of other university graduates. However, the program also holds great value for the university itself, as our academic staff can receive direct feedback from the private sector regarding the relevance of the teaching content and stay updated on market trends."

This year, three more majors are offering the Dual Studies Program: Mechatronics Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Data Analytics, and Visual Design and Communication. This brings the number of majors offering a Dual Studies Track to 14.

Dual Studies is an approach that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical experiences. Students in this track complete their university education with over one year of practical experience in their field of study due to the regular practical phases they undertake each year in their affiliated partner company.

Dual Studies was established in response to the private sector's demand for better-prepared students who meet the actual needs of the job market. It serves as a response to the lack of practical relevance in academic education in Jordan. By alternating practical and theoretical phases during their regular study period, students are well-prepared for their careers immediately after completing their bachelor’s degree.

The Dual Studies family at GJU is glad to welcome twenty-three new companies who joined the program for the first time: Ahli Bank, Al Ameed Coffee Company, ALMAKANA360, Bayt.com, the Crown Prince Foundation, DigiZag, Dorsch, Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, GIG, Housing bank, High Tech Talents, Landmark Hotel, Modern Hydraulic Systems Co, Nabil Foods, RJ, Shami Eye center, Siniora, Talabat, The kitchen, Turquoise Mountain, Webhelp, Wizard Cyber Limited, Zaki Seyed Ahmad.
