The German Jordanian University (GJU), in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), launched a project to enhance capacities in green hydrogen technology and transform renewable energy into other forms. The project aims to build capacities for GJU students and the workforce in this sector in the future.

The President of GJU, Prof. Aladdin Al-Halhouli, expressed his happiness with this cooperation to advance students' capabilities, increase their job opportunities after graduation, and equip them with knowledge in green hydrogen technology, which will constitute a crucial sector of work in the Jordanian market.

Dr. Al-Halhouli added that the duration of the project is one year, and it will result in a set of courses that will cover green hydrogen technology in terms of production, transportation, distribution, and storage, pointing out that the project will include holding many training workshops for students, engineers, and faculty at the university and other Jordanian universities.

At the end of the meeting, the delegation visited the Smart Electric Grids Laboratory, where the research group presented the projects and the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH).

The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department of Energy and Environment at the Agency, Mrs. Christina Haginder, Dr. Hani Muhsen, Vice Dean of Scientific Research at GJU, and the Sub-Director of the Agency in Jordan for the International Energy Transformation Office, Ms. Youhanna, and the Energy Advisor, Eng.
