The German Jordanian University (GJU) launched the "Virtual Open Week" on Sunday, August 16, 2020, to introduce the University’s majors, specializations, and its most important attributes for new students with Jordanian General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi), and Arab/foreign high school certificates, via the University's official page on Facebook.

The President of GJU, Prof. Manar Fayyad, congratulated Tawjihi students and their families for their success, wishing them a flourishing future full of success and excellence.

Fayyad indicated that GJU is a public university that follows the theoretical and applied curriculum similar to the applied universities in Germany, explaining the importance of this approach in addition to the "German Year" in providing them with the skills and knowledge needed to compete in the labor market.

The Director of Admission and Registration Department, Dr. Ahmad Barghash, explained the disciplines offered by the University and the registration mechanisms. On another hand, the Director of the Information Systems and Technology Center (ISTC), Dr. Feras Al-Hawari provided a presentation on the Online Admission Application Portal for New Students. https://guests.gju.edu.jo/faces/index.xhtml

 

Director of the Office for Industrial Links (OIL), Britta Kähler, and the Director International Office (IO), Stefanie Kirsch, presented the German dimension and the services provided to students in the areas of academic exchange, the German Year, and relations with industry locally and in Germany.

In the end, an open discussion was conducted.
