The Vice President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Malek Alsharairi, inaugurated the Family Book Exhibition, organized by the GJU Library in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, to provide an educational environment for the students and the local community.

The Book Exhibition included publications of the Ministry of Culture for 2022 at nominal prices, national and historical dimensions, international and Arabic novels, and children's literature.

Dr. Alsharairi admired the variety of the books' topics, especially the ones related to children's literature, as it contributes to forming their personalities and good values. He added that the exhibition plays a significant role in introducing Jordanian creative writers and national heritage.

For his part, the Director of the Library, Prof. Haytham Thawabih, stated that the library seeks to spread awareness and culture, focus on purposeful reading, change the stereotypical image inherent in the minds of our students about libraries, and present the vocabulary of Jordanian culture in its various forms.

He pointed out that the book connects them to their culture and heritage. In addition, it is a mean that beats societal separation, calls for societal openness and allows young people to be acquainted with the national roots without imitation and instead seek development, innovation, and leadership.
