The Department of Social Work/School of Applied Humanities and Languages ​​(SAHL) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a workshop as part of the Summer School entitled Resilience in Times of Crisis/Transnational Approaches to Social Work Opening, presented by a team of international experts from Germany and Jordan.

During the welcoming meeting, the President of GJU, Prof. Ala'aldeen Al-Halhouli, thanked all the organizers and contributors for their efforts, expressing his hope to benefit from the outputs of the workshop.

For her part, Prof. Daniella Ulber from the University of Hamburg in Germany highlighted the international cooperation in the field of education and social work and the challenges associated with the concept of crisis management, indicating the importance of having the opportunity to talk about the subject and discuss it interactively with the students.

For his part, the project coordinator and head of the Social Work Department, Dr. Badr Madi, presented the subjects of the workshops, namely: Humanitarian Social Management in Times of Crisis, Research on Resilience, Storytelling, and Philosophizing for children, indicating that these topics are of interest to different segments such as academic researchers in the fields of displacement and integration, workers in humanitarian organizations and kindergarten and elementary education teachers.
