In its fifty-sixth session, GJU’s President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, participated in the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities. The conference was hosted by the University of Baghdad under the patronage of the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities.

The meeting, in which more than a hundred Arab academic figures from university presidents and representatives of Arab scientific and academic organizations participated, aims to strengthen cooperation between Arab universities and coordinate efforts between the participating parties, especially with regard to the latest developments in educational technologies.

Prof. Al-Halhouli pointed to the important role that the conference plays in strengthening joint cooperation between Arab universities for the aim of enhancing the educational system and contributing to the educational development in the Arab world through the exchange of experiences and knowledge, visits and encouraging scientific research and exchange between the Arab Universities.

He indicated that the conference addressed different topics including the activities and achievements of each of the councils, centers and scientific societies, future cooperation possibilities between the association and the Arab, regional and international organizations, and holding seminars and scientific conferences in which he will participate in cooperation with member universities.
