The International Department Affairs (IAD) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) hosted 20 visiting students from DHBW University in Germany and 10 GJU students within an Intensive Study Program on Sustainability. The aim of the program was to gather students of different majors to exchange perspectives on similar topics, practice teamwork, language exchange, presentation methods and skills as well as discussions about topics that might inspire graduation projects such as Water & Droughts, Energies of the Future and Climate Change.
During the program, the students attended lectures and workshops on different subjects, such as: Jordan’s Society, Politics & Economy, Nexus Water – Energy - Food, Sustainable Architecture, Green supply chains and many more, all conducted by GJU Professors.
Additionally the program covered field trips to Jerash Waste Water Treatment plant and SNREMs Jordan Valley Research Site, where the students had the chance to learn about applied steps towards a sustainable future.
