On 19th of July 2017 the German Jordanian University (GJU) hosted Dr. Ahmad AlHalaybeh to give a lecture on “Terrorism and extremism”.
The visit was organized by the Deanship of Students Affairs, with the cooperation of Madaba Directorate of Culture which organized several lectures within its annual plan to educate people about the subject.
Dr. Ahmad AlHalaybeh presented a general introduction about Terrorism clarifying that it’s the most important issue in the whole world, because of its major reflections on peace, safety and security, besides its repercussions on economic, social and religion.
He added that fighting terrorism starts from the person himself; through confronting difficulties and challenges, and have faith in god’s judgment, advising the students to be aware of guided intellectual invasion through media, electronic games and movies, asking them to equip themselves with knowledge and education to fight this phenomenon.
At the end, a wide discussion was conducted where the guest answered the students’ questions.
