The Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth, organized an introductory session for the Hussein Bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work in the presence of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Youth, Dr. Hussein Al-Jbour, members of the award management committee, the Dean of DSA, Dr. Thelal Owais, faculty and administrative staff members and students.
During the session, AlJbour said that the Award aims to expand the dissemination of the culture of volunteer work and to enable individuals and institutions to apply standards of excellence in their volunteer projects and initiatives, in addition to motivating and appreciating distinguished volunteer efforts, indicating that the Award targets the categories of individual, joint and institutional volunteer work.
For his part, Dr. Omar Al-Hindawi explained the vision and objectives, participation categories such as social, health, educational or training volunteer work, sports, art and culture, environmental, tourism, leadership, and innovation, besides the Award's general principles, application mechanism, and time frame.
At the end of the session, the questions of the attendees were answered.
