A Joint meeting was held at GJU Vision Rehabilitation Center (VRC) with the senior management at CBM, Mr. Asfandyar Mandokhail (Director Programme Delivery Asia & Americas) and Mr. Dominique Schlupkothen (Director CBID). This visit aimed to build and maintain the relationship and partnership with the German Jordanian University (GJU). Given the significant role that VRC plays in the Community Based Inclusive Development (CBID) and its efforts in the ongoing project funded by CBM entitled: “Low Vision Rehabilitation Services and Professional Training in Jordan”.
The meeting provides an invaluable opportunity to evaluate the impact of the project on the ground, ensuring that it aligns with the program's goals and meets the needs of the local community.
Then a tour was made in the VRC under simulation glasses for low vision, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the services offered and explore the range of assistive devices available.
This visit marks a significant stride in advancing inclusive practices and sets the stage for future efforts aimed at enhancing the quality of lives for individuals with vision impairment.
