On Tuesday 16th of July 2018, The German Jordanian University (GJU), represented by its president, Prof. Manar Fayyad, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with Arab Orient Insurance Company, represented by its CEO, Dr. Ali Al-Wazani.

The MoU reflects the efforts of the School of Management and Logistic Sciences (SMLS) at GJU, in creating training opportunities for its students and qualify them for the labor market.

It emphasizes the university’s strategy to promote private sector partnerships at various levels and maintain sustainable industry linkages. It provides students with first-hand experience by involving its industry partners in study plans and field trips.

GJU offers students a full-time work experience by its requirements of conducting local and international industry training and internships.

According to the MoU, cooperation will be in the fields of Training and Internships, Lectures and Research, Joint Workshops and Meetings, Field Trips and Special Events.

Arab Orient Insurance Company (gig – Jordan), focuses on the development within the insurance sector. It prides itself on being Jordan’s first company in terms of premiums.

Mr.Osama Al Hiyari, Mr. Sa’ad Amin Farah and Ms. Reem Abu Okab attended the MoU signing from gig- Jordan side, while from GJU side the Dean of SMLS Dr. Malik AlSharairi and Dean's Assistant Abdelrahim Alsoussi.
