In the framework of strengthening and building partnerships and integration between institutions and national bodies, exchanging information and technical expertise, the Social Security Corporation and the German Jordanian University (GJU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), for cooperation in the field of studies and training on Wednesday, January 13, 2019.
Under the MoU signed by the General Director of the Social Security Corporation Dr. Hazim Rahahleh and the President of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad, both parties agreed to develop cooperation in the fields of research studies, economic, financial sciences besides providing training programs.
Dr. Rahahleh said that this collaboration comes within the framework of establishing partnerships with the national educational and academic institutions, adding that the agreement will allow students and academics at GJU and postgraduate students at the Graduate School of Business Administration, in particular, to benefit from the institution's experience in many areas such as economic, social and actuarial science.
Prof. Manar said, "We are pleased to sign the memorandum of understanding in the field of studies and training, which is an opportunity to benefit from the university's experience in providing specialized training programs."
Fayyad indicated that the partnership would strengthen the connections between the academic sector and practical training in different sectors.
Fayyad explained that under the agreement a joint technical committee would be formed between GJU and the Social Security Corporation, to plan and launch a training program to obtain the certificate of a certified compliance officer from the German Jordanian University. She assured that GJU would facilitate the development of professional, scientific relations.
The Dean of the Graduate School of Business Administration, Dr. Majdi Zuriekat affirmed that the agreement would provide an opportunity for graduate students at the University to benefit from the information and data provided by the social Security Cooperation to facilitate their research. He praised the common interest in the collaboration between both parties that will reflect on the learning environment among the students.
The MoU includes exchange experiences in administrative, financial and economic fields, holding conferences, seminars and joint events, besides providing training courses and workshops in areas of common interest or that concerns the Social Security Law and legislation.
