The Consultation and Training Center (CTC) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) opened the Arabic Language and Culture Summer School for a number of German students who are participating in the Arabic Language and Culture Program (ALC).

The program, which includes about (26) students from Germany, aims to teach them the Arabic language and introduce them to the Jordanian culture, customs and traditions with its human heritage.

The Program Coordinator, Dr. Thelal Oweis, pointed out that the program seeks to strengthen relations between the German-Jordanian University and German partner organizations and universities, which serves as a bridge for cultural communication between Jordan and Germany.

In this three-week program, students acquire new experiences and skills as they learn about the most prominent Arab customs, traditions and traditional Foods.

The program includes a number of field trips to various archaeological and historical places in Jordan. In addition, to the visits of some associations as they recently visited the Iraq Al-Amir Women Association affiliated to the Jordan River Foundation, which included workshops on making clay, ceramics, textiles, and paper.

The German Jordanian University established this program in 2014 to teach Arabic to non-native students.
