Under the patronage of Prof. Natheer Abu.Obeid, the President of GJU,  the Deanship of Student Affairs at GJU organized an orientation day for all students including the new students in order to present all types of activities throughout the deanship in the art, cultural and industrial fields, and information technology as well.

 

Prof. Abu Obeid assured on the importance of these extra-curricular activities in increasing the students’ self-esteem, making them more motivated and better organized, as well as providing them with real work skills.  He also emphasized that extra-curricular activities foster a sense of commitment to a cause or purpose of serving the society.

 

The president urged students to participate in these activities that are well-arranged by the deanship in cooperation with social and voluntary organizations which are characterized by continuity, creativity, social responsibility and could help them to serve their society and their country.

 

For his part, the Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Yousef Al.Abdallat highlighted the role of student’s clubs of enriching the experiences of students, achieve a real interaction with the society and create opportunities in the field of entrepreneurship.

 

The members of student clubs presented their various activities and what they achieved during the last year, in addition to their future vision that can motivate others to create new ideas and presenting proposals for such entrepreneurship projects, which can be implemented. 

 

During the orientation day students were introduced to the Industrial Engineering clubs ,robots,  the Career Guidance Office- King Abdullah II Fund for Development , Al-Hassan Youth Award, information technology, music, arts , Basmetak Hata’llem, public service ,international dialogue , the Association of Electronics engineer and pioneers company.
