On Wednesday 4th of October 2017, under the patronage of the President of German Jordanian University (GJU) Prof. Manar Fayyad, the Deanship of Students Affairs organized an Orientation Day for the new students at the university campus.

Dr. Fayyad addressed a motivation speech to the new students and encouraged them to work hard and use the extra benefits and advantages that GJU offer and distinguish it from other universities, explaining that GJU was established initially on applied sciences similar to German universities to equip the graduates with the necessary skills to be market ready.

She encouraged the students to learn the rules and regulation followed at GJU to be aware with their rights and obligations, besides engaging in the extra-curricular activities via the clubs available in GJU, emphasizing the importance of being active during their study commensurate with their tendencies and talents or even their specialties

From his side the Dean of Students Affairs Dr. Omar Shubailat welcomed the new students including the exchange students from German’s universities and Erasmus Plus Project, explaining the different roles and activities that the deanship carries toward the students.

The event featured musical and a play that were performed by the students.

The students were introduced to the clubs, Service Department, Medical Clinic, Health Insurance, Transportation services, the Career Guidance Office- King Abdullah II Fund for Development, and Al-Hassan Youth Award

The clubs at GJU include: Public services, Book Buster, Health and Environment, Theater and Drama, Information Technology, Energy, Business, the industrial engineering, Robot, United Nations model and Electronics and Electrical Engineers.
