The Visual Rehabilitation Center at the German Jordanian University (GJU) and the Cultural Forum for blinds held a preparatory meeting to launch the second step of the 'Yobseroun' Campaign.

This step will include conducting a comprehensive assessment of visual functions, selecting assistive devices and magnifiers for each individual with visual impairment, and training them on how to use them. Additionally, it will involve providing instructions and advice on environmental modifications tailored to each individual's needs.

During the meeting attended by the Center's Director, Dr. Omaia Ali, and the Visual Rehabilitation Specialist, Ms. Maisa Masoud, as well as the President of the Forum, Ms. Soheir Abdelqader, and its members, Dr. Younis Dodin and Ms. Samiha Al-Qariout, the two parts agreed that the Center would provide its services free of charge in its clinic, reflecting its ongoing role in serving the community.

It is worth mentioning that the second step followed the first one, which was launched in collaboration with Eye Specialty Hospital and targeted 180 cases of visually impaired individuals who were provided with medical reports after a comprehensive examination was conducted for them. Subsequently, in the second step, they were referred to the center to receive visual rehabilitation services.
