The Board of Directors of the Jordanian Universities Network elected the President of the German Jordanian University, Prof. Dr. Ala’adeen Al-Halhouli, as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Network, during its last meeting, which took place at the University of Jordan. The meeting was attended by the presidents of the Jordanian Public universities or their representatives and the Executive Director of the Network, Dr. Saleh Sharia. In addition, the President of University of Jordan, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, was elected as the Vice-Chairman and the President of Mutah University, Prof. Dr. Salama Al-Naimat, as a member in the network. The network is a non-profit company owned by the official Jordanian universities. It was established in 2003 to build and operate a modern communication and information network to serve its members, higher education institutions, and scientific research centers, thus contributing to the promotion of the purposes of higher education, and the provision and management of computer and information services between the official Jordanian universities.
