The GJU would like to congratulate the undergraduate students Sarah Aburub and Farah Fallouh from the school of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (SEEIT), who have recently published a research paper, entitled: “EEG-based BCI for Classifying Motor Imagery Tasks of the Same Hand Using Empirical Mode Decomposition”, in the proceeding of the 10th IEEE International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ELECO), Turkey, Dec. 2017 (http://www.eleco.org.tr/ELECO2017/index.html).

The published paper presents a new approach that analyzes humans’ brain waves in order to discriminate between different motor imagery tasks within the same hand. It’s worth mentioning that both students were working under the supervision of Dr. Rami Alazrai, department of computer engineering.
