Around 50 GJU students from different majors participated in an event on 10 November 2021 that was delivered by PwC as a part of their corporate social responsibility efforts to give back to the community and upskill the youth.

The event was held at the GJU main campus and the students had the chance to meet with PwC professionals, learn about their recruitment process, and the job opportunities that PwC offers for fresh graduates and professionals, and join a special talk about Data Analytics with a PwC expert “Luay Tamimi”.

 

Members of PwC provided an introduction about PwCon a global and regional level and its corporate sustainability actives at PwC Jordan, showing the growth of opportunities and new job profiles of the future. The students then engaged in a Live Quiz about data analytics related questions, which was followed by a presentation about this important topic, since data analytics is used to optimize business performance and business innovation and commercialize data opportunities by using predictive analytics.

 

Furthermore, the students were introduced on how to apply for jobs at PwC, how to engage with the company even before graduation and what skills and expertise are  required to become a successful candidate.

 

PwC are expanding in Amman office and have a plan to create more opportunities for graduates.

Furthrmore, PwC appreciated the engagement and commitment of the students who are considered as very competitive candidates for future roles..

The event was organized by GJU’s Office for Industrial Links to engage students with company representatives and provide information about possible career paths and opportunities after graduation.
