On Sunday,  5th of March, 2017  the Regional Director of  Goethe Institute Ms. Elke Kaschl Mohni accompanied by Ms. Anna Wischniewski , Goethe Institute-Amman / Cultural Program  visited the German Jordanian University.

Goethe-Institute is the Germany's worldwide cultural institute, where the German courses and German examinations are being held, also the cultural dialogue and information about Germany are exist, and since both sides have that mutual concept, strengthening such a cooperation is something indispensable and essential.   

During the meeting with Professor Natheer Abu Obeid, the GJU President, and Professor Dorit Schuman, the GJU Vice President for International Affairs, Ms. Elke expressed her pleasure to visit the university and learn more about its achievements and success during the past ten years, hoping to have a valuable and fruitful cooperation.  

Professor Abu Obeid  gave Ms. Elke an overview about GJU , saying that it is a unique applied educational Institution and enlightenment house that has a positive impact on society , adding that the most important thing about this university is the cross cultures bridging.

Abu Obeid also mentioned the importance of the German year, the different engineering majors and schools in addition to the latest achievements and success stories.

For her part, Prof. Schumann spoke about the Intercultural dimension of GJU and the variety of exchanging programs not only in the field of studying but also in the research and training fields like flying faculty program for the academic staff and train the trainer program for the administrative staff.

Furthermore, Professor Schumann discussed with Ms. Elke  the possibilities of enhancing the cooperation in the field of cultural events, as the university is tending to reactivate the German Club to help students to engage more with the German culture and activities.
