Amman -18 March,2014

On March 18th 2015, GJU and SAP held a kick-off event of their Dual Study Program at GJU. The event started with a presentation about the SAP Dual Study Program by SAP consultants and the great benefits it could bring to GJU students from an industry perspective. It highlighted how GJU students could enhance their skills and market value by obtaining three globally recognized SAP Associate Consulting Certifications followed by a potential internship and networking opportunity at SAP headquarters or SAP industrial partners in Germany.

Following the presentation, SAP conducted an online assessment test as well as personal interviews with interested GJU students from the School of Management and Logistics Sciences, School of Applied Technical Sciences, and School of Computer Engineering and Information Technology. The selected students of the two-day kick-off event will be the first participant group of the Dual Study Program. During the next year they will take several professional SAP certificates and perform their SAP related internship next spring in Germany.

SAP was represented by Mr. Mumen Suliman (Director of Training and Development Institute), Dr. Shadi Al-khamayseh (Strategic Regional Manager), and Mr. Suliman Gaouda (SAP Dual Study Program Associate).

On the 23rd of October, 2014, the German Jordanian University (GJU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SAP Training and Development Institute that aims at bridging the gap between Academia and Industry in a Dual Study Program. The Program will add industry related learning and hands-on working time to the overall experience of the students.  It is worthy to mention that GJU is the first Jordanian university that offers this program.
