Four German students from the Berliner Hochschule für Technik former Beuth Hochschul- pharmaceutical and chemical engineering visited the German Jordanian University (GJU) to finish their project: “Implementing interactive experimental lectures in basic organic chemistry” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rainer Senz.

The study group worked together with Dr. Samer Al-Gharabli and his team from the School of Applied Medical Sciences (SAMS) at GJU.

In preparation for their stay in Jordan, the German students spent many hours in the laboratory in order to record several chemical experiments. The students produced videos in German so that GJU students can prepare for their German Year and German lectures where they presented the outcome of their project and showed us some videos.

In addition to the academic focus, the group decided to extend their stay in order to explore Jordan and its touristic sites. According to the German saying, “Erst die Arbeit, dann das Vergnügen” (first the work, then the pleasure), they added another week of vacation to their stay and travel as a group in Jordan until the end of October.
