The Vision Rehabilitation Center (VRC) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) participated at the Scientific and Alumni day of the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Jordan. The VRC offered a workshop for a 35 students and graduates from the Rehabilitation School.

The workshop was about the Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI), its causes and characteristics, the assessment framework, the intervention and the rehabilitation process. This topic was an eye opener for the participants as it was a new topic for them. During the workshop, the importance of the multidisciplinary approach between different rehabilitation specialties was emphasized.  It was clarifying the urgent need of cooperation between different specialists in order to help these persons with CVI and to improve their quality of life.

This workshop was part of the VRC mission in raising awareness among community and specialists about vision Impairment, which correspond with the GJU role in serving community and spreading knowledge. These activities will help in creating more inclusive and productive environment for each community member especially persons with vision impairment.
