On Tuesday 3rd of October 2017, German Jordanian University (GJU) represented by the International Office organized a welcoming meeting for new exchange students and Arabic Language and Culture Program (ALC) students conducted by the Consultation and Training Centre.

Prof. Dorit Schumann, the GJU Vice President for Intentional Affairs encouraged the students to utilize from this exceptional intercultural experience by engaging with people and learn about food, customs and traditions, emphasizing the importance of having friends from different cultures especially with all nonsense happening all over the world.

Schuman considered the students as an ambassadors and have a mission when they go back to their countries to tell about Jordan, the friendship and knowledge they earn to inspire other people to come to Jordan.

From his side the Dean of Students Affairs Dr. Omar Shubailat welcomed the students explaining the different roles and activities that the deanship carries toward the students, urging them to approach the deanship at any time if they needed any assistance whether inside the university or outside it.  

Director of the Consultation and Training Centre Dr. Abdullah Abdullah whished the students to have a fruitful stay in Jordan during the whole semester, giving a discerption to the ALC Program specifying that it contains two parts; one to teach the Jordanian Dialect (Amiya) and the second focuses on Standard Arabic (Fusha).

Incoming Coordinator Rakan AL-Dwairi from the International Office and representatives from The Office for Industrial Links also introduced their work and activities to the students.
