The Community Peace Center/ Preventive Security Department of the Public Security Directorate, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), organized a workshop on the role of women in confronting extremism, with the participation of representatives of some military and civil institutions in families, children and women field.

The workshop aimed to highlight the role of the family in the security process. It focused on building bridges of trust, creating cognitive, behavioral, and technical changes among female police officers, deepening the sense of belonging, instilling a spirit of discipline, and consolidating peaceful values by focusing on the inventory of intellectual and cognitive among female participants.

The workshop, which lasted for two days, included lectures given by specialists from the Center, GJU, the Middle East University, and the German Police. 

Topics of the lectures included community solidity, concepts about extremism and violence, awareness campaigns, the role of institutions and women in achieving social peace, and the role of the media in combating extremism.

At the graduation of the participants, the President of GJU, Prof. Dr. Aladdin Al-Halhouli, emphasized the importance of the role of the family, and the values of peace, justice, and equality, indicating that GJU will continue to play a fundamental role in community service.

Moreover, Head of the Center for Community Peace, Major Nasser Al-Jaafreh, mentioned the value of community peace clubs at Jordanian public and private universities in battling harmful phenomena and violent extremism, as well as the critical part played by women in family upbringing.
