On Tuesday, March 13, 2019, A German Delegation from Beuth University of Applied Sciences in Berlin visits German Jordanian University (GJU) to discuss and expand scientific cooperation and coordination in various scientific, academic and administrative fields.

During the visit, the delegation met the president of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad, and the two vice presidents, Prof. Atef Kharabsheh and Prof. Dorit Schumann.

During the meeting, Fayyad presented an overview of the university and the majors, noting that it was built in the same way as the German universities in Applied Sciences.

She added that the university system is based on sending students in the penultimate year to Germany for one year to study at one of the German university partner, as well as getting training opportunities in German companies or factories.

Pointing out to the partnerships that the university holds with the German institutions that receive German students and academic staff within the programs of "Flying Faculty", “Train the Trainers” and “Students Cultural Exchange".

Schumann stressed the importance of these partnerships, which strengthen the relations of the university with German institutions. Noting that the “Students Cultural Exchange" encourages German students to study at GJU.

The aspects of scientific and applied research in the university were reviewed and the quality of graduates who have many of the skills and competencies necessary to meet the needs of the labor market.

The delegation includes the President of Beuth University, Prof.Monika Gross, Head of the International Office, Dr. Karlheinz Borchert, and Prof. Rainer Senz.

During the visit, the delegation met the Deans of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology ​School (SEEIT), School of Applied Technical Sciences (SATS), School of Applied Medical Sciences (SAMS), School of Management and Logistic Sciences (SMLS) and School of Natural Resources Engineering and Management (SNREM) to extend their partnership with GJU and discuss Erasmus cooperation.

The Beuth University of Applied Sciences is a public university founded in 1971 in Berlin and has a ranking of 74 in Germany and 1534 among the world's universities.
