Dr. Qoaider has over 15 years of experience as consultant and technical advisor of solar power projects in the MENA region and Germany. Dr. Louy Qoaider has joined the German International Cooperation in 2018 as Team Leader of “Renewable Energy in Water Sectors and “Increasing Energy Efficiency in Water Sector” projects. He worked as Associate Professor and as Head of Energy Engineering Department at the German Jordanian University from 2014 to 2017. Prior to this, he worked at the German Aerospace Center DLR from 2010 to as coordinator of an international project: enerMENA that deals with technical support, research and training of MENA partners in the field of solar energy technology. Previous to his work at the DLR, Dr. Qoaider worked as project developer at the Karau Group (2009), based in Germany, with focus on Photovoltaic projects planning and development. He also worked at Cologne University of Applied Sciences (2005-2008) as instructor and researcher and was involved in several training and consultancy projects in his domain. He has a mechanical engineering background with a specialization in renewable energy engineering and management he has a PhD in Engineering/energy from the University of Rostock in Germany.
