The German Jordanian University (GJU) and the Directorate of Military Education and Culture of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening collaboration in the fields of education, innovation, technology, and digital transformation. The agreement was signed during an official ceremony held at the university.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the university by its President, Professor Dr. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, and on behalf of the Directorate by Brigadier General Dr. Saleh Al-Khalayleh. This partnership reflects both parties’ commitment to developing the educational environment in military schools and preparing a knowledgeable and capable generation that combines values of loyalty and belonging with modern skills, through integrating national education with academic learning and enhancing the role of national institutions in supporting knowledge and education.
The agreement provides for the establishment of creativity and innovation centers in the Directorate’s schools to support scientific projects in the fields of technology and artificial intelligence. It also includes organizing joint conferences, scientific days, and workshops, participating in student-oriented competitions and initiatives, training Directorate personnel through specialized programs offered by the university, teaching German as a second foreign language in the Directorate’s schools, and integrating digital transformation concepts and artificial intelligence applications into the educational process.
Under the agreement, the Directorate will provide the necessary infrastructure and logistical support by allocating school facilities as centers for entrepreneurship and innovation, facilitating student participation in scientific initiatives, supporting university researchers in conducting studies related to education and curricula, and offering opportunities for GJU students to undertake field training in the Directorate’s schools.
Professor Dr. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli expressed the German Jordanian University’s pride in its partnership with the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, represented by the Directorate of Military Education and Culture. He commended the Armed Forces’ efforts in building and defending the nation, the diverse health, developmental, and educational services provided by its personnel inside and outside the Kingdom, and the Directorate’s strong focus on education through its schools and the Royal Scholarship for university students, which contributes to nurturing an aware, educated, and loyal generation devoted to the homeland, the nation, and the Hashemite leadership.
For his part, Brigadier General Dr. Saleh Al-Khalayleh affirmed that the agreement reflects the Directorate’s keenness to cooperate with national academic institutions to develop the educational environment and prepare a generation capable of facing future challenges, combining military discipline with educational excellence, with a strong focus on digital transformation and the use of artificial intelligence in education.
This cooperation represents a strategic step toward integrating academic expertise with institutional military experience in serving Jordanian education, reinforcing values of loyalty and belonging, opening new horizons for students in creativity and innovation, and laying the foundation for an advanced phase of smart digital education.
