Six students from the School of Applied Medical Sciences at the German Jordanian University have been awarded a prestigious research grant to pursue their graduation projects at the Technical University of Chemnitz in Germany. The initiative, facilitated under the SENSET project funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), entails collaborative research in biomedical engineering, focusing on innovative applications of smart sensors and AI-based technologies.
Under the joint supervision of Prof. Dr. Olfa Cannon from the University of Chemnitz and Dr. Jumana Matouk from the German Jordanian University, these students will engage in comprehensive research activities aimed at advancing their academic and practical skills. Dr. Matouk emphasized the significance of this scholarship in providing students with hands-on experience, thereby preparing them effectively for the job market. She highlighted the potential impact of this opportunity on the scientific and technological research landscape in biomedical engineering, which is expected to yield societal benefits.
