As part of the Directorate of Education for the Amman Qasaba District’s efforts to follow up on educational projects and initiatives supporting public schools, Ms. Iman Abduljawad Al-Tahrawi, Director of Education for the Amman Qasaba District, conducted a field visit to Al-Abdaliyah Basic School to inspect the renovation and maintenance works implemented with the support of the German Jordanian University (GJU).
Ms. Al-Tahrawi was accompanied by Ms. Nour Kheshashneh, Head of the Activities Department, and Ms. Faten Abu Saad, Acting Head of the Media Department. The delegation reviewed the key rehabilitation works carried out at the school, which included classroom refurbishments, yard improvements, upgrades to sanitation facilities, and laboratory enhancements — all contributing to a safer and more engaging learning environment for students and teachers alike.
Ms. Al-Tahrawi expressed her gratitude and appreciation to GJU for its generous support, emphasizing that this collaboration represents a distinguished model of community partnership between higher education institutions and education directorates. She highlighted that such initiatives reflect a shared commitment to improving school environments and achieving the highest standards of quality in the educational process. She also commended the efforts of the school’s administration, represented by Mr. Ziad Jumaa, for their dedication to implementing the improvements and enhancing educational services.
On the sidelines of the visit, Ms. Al-Tahrawi toured GJU’s Jabal Amman campus, where she was introduced to several of the university’s facilities and community programs. The delegation received an overview of GJU’s developmental projects and initiatives that align with its mission of social responsibility and support for educational institutions.
For his part, Mr. Osama Hanandeh, Director of GJU’s Jabal Amman Campus, reaffirmed that the university’s support for the school stems from its national and social commitment and continuous efforts to strengthen collaboration with educational institutions. He emphasized GJU’s dedication to supporting local communities and improving the educational environment in public schools, praising the Directorate of Education for fostering a culture of partnership and field engagement in service of students.
