The Empowering Jordanian Candidates for the International Labour Market (EJIM) project participated in the 15th German Jordanian University Career Fair, held at the university campus in Mushaqar, with the participation of more than 70 local and international companies.
The project successfully engaged with hundreds of highly qualified students and graduates, aiming to strengthen the connection between Jordanian expertise and global opportunities, and to enhance the readiness of Jordanian youth for integration into the international labour market.
The EJIM booth also served as a key attraction for students from the Engineering and Information Technology faculties, who are seeking long-term professional opportunities abroad.
As Jordan’s leading model for international career readiness, EJIM showcased its latest digital tools, including the Virtual Career Fair Platform for German Companies, which enables qualified graduates to conduct direct interviews with leading German companies without geographical barriers. This initiative aims to facilitate access to international career opportunities and open new horizons for Jordanian talent.
This year’s participation was supported and strategically funded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ Jordan), a long-standing partner in Jordan’s economic modernization efforts. GIZ has played a pivotal role in supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing the readiness of the local labour market for future demands.
Support from GIZ and the German Jordanian Centre for Labour Mobility (GJC) also enabled the project to provide specialized career guidance for students interested in the German labour market, as well as to organize awareness sessions on international labour mobility requirements, including work permits and cultural integration. In addition, these efforts contributed to strengthening dialogue between Jordanian academic institutions and international employers, fostering more effective partnerships between the academic and private sectors.
By combining GIZ’s developmental expertise with EJIM’s practical upskilling strategies, both entities continue to work together to ensure that Jordanian youth are better prepared, protected, and preferred in the international labour market.
