The German Jordanian University (GJU) concluded the 2025 edition the Kinderuni  “Little Professor” program, held from July 20 to 24, 2025. The program targeted children and adolescents aged 12 to 16, as part of an educational initiative aimed at fostering scientific and creative thinking and introducing participants to university life.

During the closing ceremony, Dr. Thelal Owies, Dean of Student Affairs at GJU, emphasized the importance of the program, which embodies the university’s mission to provide quality educational initiatives that ignite students’ passion for knowledge and offer them a direct, engaging, and safe experience with university disciplines and environments.

The program featured a variety of scientific, cultural, and recreational activities, including hands-on workshops and experiments in GJU’s laboratories, scientific and artistic performances, field visits, and interactive sessions with faculty members. These activities provided participants with a simplified and engaging introduction to various academic disciplines.

Dr. Nasser Alnatsheh from Braunschweig University of Technology (TU Braunschweig) in Germany contributed to the program by presenting an Interactive Science Theater session, during which the children conducted enjoyable and simple experiments. This session helped simplify scientific concepts and foster curiosity and exploration among the participants, who showed great enthusiasm throughout.

Several institutions enriched the program’s content, most notably the Ibda’a Innovation Development Association, the German Energy Academy, and the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, by offering specialized sessions covering fields such as science, technology, energy, and innovation.

At the end of the event, the university honored the participating children by awarding them certificates of participation in recognition of their efforts and active engagement throughout the program. The ceremony was held in a joyful and celebratory atmosphere, attended by parents who expressed their appreciation and delight for this enriching educational experience.

GJU reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to provide quality programs that help build a conscious and proactive generation equipped with scientific and innovative skills, capable of actively contributing to society’s development.
